Friday, 11 December 2009: Congratulations to Alex Parker for being named First Team
All-Union County and Second Team All-Group III in cross country. Brandon Wheeler was
named Second Team All-Union County and Vidhan Malik was named Third Team All-Union
County.
Thursday, 10 December 2009: Congratulations to Kathleen Leeper for being named First
Team All-Union County and Second Team All-Group III in cross country. Laura Bruce and Ali
Pearl were named Third Team All-Union County. Leeper was also featured as the Union
County Surprise of the Year.
Tuesday, 24 November 2009: At the first annual Union County Conference cross country
post-season coaches' meeting, Alex Parker and Brandon Wheeler were named First Team
All-Watchung Division, while Vidhan Malik was named Honorable Mention All-Watchung
Division. For the girls, Kathleen Leeper, Ali Pearl, and Laura Bruce were named First Team
All-Watchung Division and Kaitlyn Magnus was named Honorable Mention All-Watchung
Division.
Saturday, 21 November 2009: Kathleen Leeper competed in today's NJSIAA Cross Country
Meet of Champions. This was the first ever appearance in this meet by an SPFHS female
cross country runner. Results can be found here.
Saturday, 14 November 2009: Kathleen Leeper placed 15th in the NJSIAA Group III Girls'
Cross Country Championship, earning a wild card qualifying spot into the Meet of
Champions. The boys' team, led by Alex Parker's 15th place finish, placed 8th in the boys'

Saturday, 7 November 2009: Kathleen Leeper placed 5th in the NJSIAA North II Group III
Girls' State Sectional Cross Country Championship, earning an individual qualifying spot into
the NJSIAA Group III Championship. The girls' team placed 7th overall. The boys' team, led
by Alex Parker's 6th place finish, placed 5th to qualify as a team. Results can be found here.
Thursday, 29 October 2009: The boys' team placed 3rd at the Union County
Championship, led by Alex Parker's 5th-place finish. Kathleen Leeper placed 3rd in the girls'
race with a time of 19:57. Results can be found here.
Tuesday, 20 October 2009: The boys and girls teams both placed 2nd at the inaugural
Union County Conference Watchung Division Championships. The girls were anchored by a
1-2-4 finish by Kathleen Leeper, Ali Pearl, and Laura Bruce. Alex Parker was the top boys'
finisher, placing 4th. Results can be found here.
Tuesday, 22 September 2009: The girls team defeated Westfield at Tamaques Park in
thrilling fashion. Kathleen Leeper, Ali Pearl, and Laura Bruce swept the top three places to
secure victory. Westfield had won 35 straight dual meets. Results can be found here.
