MISCELLANEOUS NOTES & COMMENTS
|
|
- This was our first dual meet with Irvington at least since 1996, as they had
always been in the other division of the Watchung Conference.
- This dual meet was slow to get started, as Irvington showed up extremely late,
even though they were off for spring break.
- The Irvington boys and girls were both very strong in the sprint events, but
depth and balance paid off in our favor.
- One lesson to be taken from this meet is to always run through the finish line.
In the boys' 200, Ishmael Robbins from Irvington was headed for victory but inexplicably eased up before the finish line. Kyle Rowbotham continued digging through the finish line and took the victory.
- As a reminder, you must stay in your lane for the entirety of any race 400
meters or less and blocking someone trying to pass you is against the rules.
