MISCELLANEOUS NOTES & COMMENTS

- This was our first trip to this meet.
- Results are incorrect in the girls' 4 x 1600.
- The incorrect total distance is listed for our winning girls' shot put team of
Carlaya Jones and Lauryn Adams. The correct combined distance is 67' 4.5".
- The times in the boys' 3 x 400 IH should have an asterisk next to them. The
hurdle crew never placed the seventh flight of hurdles on the track, so our hurdlers had an easier time getting through that part of the race, which would obviously lead to faster times.
- Event winners included:
- Boys' DMR (Pat Doliber, Kyle Grizzard, Tim Salisbury, and Adam Biner)
- Girls' DMR (Cassy Valdes, Kate Johnson, Julie Meurer, and Brittney Veeck) -
another blowout victory, this time by 52.1 seconds over Cranford with a PR 1600 anchor leg of 5:11 by Britt
- Boys' 3 x 400 IH (Kyle Rowbotham, Tom Pennella, and Cherv) - times were
a little fast, as the seventh flight of hurdles was not set out on the track; sorry Kyle, you can't count that 56.0 as a season best
- Girls' 4 x 800 (Alanna Salituro, Emily Carow, Cathy Harley, and Brittney
Veeck) - PR's from all four girls in a 29-second victory
- Boys' 4 x 400 (Mike Katz, Kyle Grizzard, Jason Zelesnik, and Kyle
Rowbotham) - 49.4 split for Rowbotham and PR's for both Grizzard and Zelesnik
- Boys' Shot Put (Mike Alleman and John Badala) - Badala just misses his first-
ever 50-footer by three inches
- Girls' Shot Put (Carlaya Jones and Lauryn Adams) - the distance we were
credited in the results is what Alleman and Badala threw in winning the boys' shot put
- Boys' Discus (Mike Alleman and Jason Boff)
- Girls' Discus (Erin Rossi and Carlaya Jones)
- Our middle school girls had a spectacular showing in the middle school 800,
sweeping the first six places. Leading the charge was Ali Pearl (2:35.4) who was closely followed by Hayley Cornwell (also 2:35.4), and then Kathleen Leeper (2:41.0).
