MISCELLANEOUS NOTES & COMMENTS
  • This was the nicest day at the Randolph Relays at least since 1996.
  • We were shorthanded on the boys' side, as Kyle Rowbotham, Jason Zelesnik,
Kyle Grizzard, Mike Katz, and Mike Chervenyak were all at the Penn Relays.
  • Our best showing on the track was in the boys' 4 x 800 meters, where we
placed second.  Notable showings were Tim Salisbury's 2:05.5 leadoff and Mike
Ragan's 2:04.1 anchor.  Both were PR splits.
  • Kim Appezzato (2:24.6) and Brittney Veeck (2:20.9) both recorded PR 800 splits
and Whitney Adams did the same in the 4 x 200.
  • Our boys' javelin team is really beginning to step things up as we move into
    championship season.
  • Carlaya Jones had the top performances of the meet in both the shot put and
the discus.  Her discus throw of 122' 3" was a huge PR.
  • Event winners included:
  1. Boys' Shot Put (Mike Alleman, John Badala, and Steve Wenson) - Alleman
had the top throw of the meet.
  2. Girls' Shot Put (Carlaya Jones, Lauryn Adams, and Jess Feldman) - Jones
and Adams had the two best throws of the meet.
  3. Girls' Discus (Carlaya Jones, Lauryn Adams, and Cassie Berwick)
