MISCELLANEOUS NOTES & COMMENTS

- The girls secured victory over Westfield with a 1-2-3 finish by Kathleen Leeper,
Ali Pearl, and Laura Bruce.
- The Westfield girls had won 37 consecutive dual meets until this meet.
- This was the first time we had swept the first three places in a girls' dual meet
against Westfield and it was the first time we defeated them in a dual meet at
Tamaques Park. Our previous dual meet victories over Westfield had been in
Branch Brook Park (2003) and Warinanco Park (2004). The last time we beat
the Westfield girls in any XC meet was at the 2007 Union County Championship
when we placed second and they placed fifth.
- All six of the girls ran arguably their best-ever cross country races.
- Vid Malik, Max Kachalov, and Rob Colonna ran all-time personal best races for
the boys.
- This was our first meet at Tamaques Park since 2006.
- The boys now have a cumulative dual meet record of (98-18) since the start of
the 1997 season.
- The girls now have a cumulative dual meet record of (54-6) since the start of
the 2003 season.
